NCSOFT has revealed their brand-new work titled Project LLL along with the release of two videos, a gameplay trailer and developer diary.
Project LLL is an upcoming open-world MMO third person shooter currently in development for console and PC with the game set to launch in 2024.
From the text interview, Seeder Jaehyun Bae, the project leader, describes Project LLL as a sci-fi game falling under the sub-genre of alternative history.
Project LLL takes place in a world where the history we know of has progressed differently due to events in the past, blending together a devasted Seoul, the 10th century Byzantine Empire and the 23rd century.
“The difference between 〈LLL〉 and other existing NC games and Korean MMOs is that it focuses on giving each character specific characteristics,” said Seeder Jaehyun Bae. “Each character has a unique name, and there is a background story that explains each character’s past and driving forces.”

From the gameplay trailer, different parts of Seoul are shown and according to Bae, is meant to make viewers ponder on what had happened that brought Seoul into the state it is in the game.
You will also get to witness different types of mutated monster that roam about Seoul, with all of them being hostile to you. Some explode on contact and some would roll behind cover before approaching you. There is also a giant armored dragging along a mini-gun towards you.
To summarize once more, Project LLL is an open-world MMO third person shooter by NCSOFT for PC and console set to release in 2024.
