Candleman Games will be releasing Exhausted Man, a cute-looking, comedic physics-based game where you play the titular Exhausted Man, slithering around to do his daily chores. While the environments initially look made to scale, the screenshots on the game’s Steam page show increasingly larger objects to squirm around on, or perhaps the man has shrunk, who can say?
The Developer Stream from October 2021 shows how the game will work, as you can twist yourself and crawl up the walls, needing to put your very tired weight on objects to move them accordingly. You do still have an energy bar – somehow – that will drain as you worm around. Having no energy means you will drop any items you may be holding, or flop down even more than you already do.
To continue with the story, the stream shows that you need to spruce up your room a little, including an ominous poster with checkboxes titled, “DIE”. The items have little flavour text to go with them as well. There’s to-do lists on a timer where you just might be able to squeeze in a little more sleep; this system appears to be implemented as cards instead.
At time of writing, it’s only listed as “coming soon” with no price on Steam. If you relate to this noodle man, do keep an eye out for it.
