Pashamon, Sega’s Mobile Camera RPG is launched today in Japan! The game was first revealed last month which utilizes a mobile phone’s camera to capture monsters in VR. With its unique capabilities, it has an AI camera identification technology that turns your every day real life objects into monsters that you can take to battle! Instead of going around outside of your comfort just to catch virtual monsters, you can now even catch them when you are at home!
Unlike its next of kin, Pokemon Go, the game requires players to take photos of different real life objects. Then the AI will identify it and transform your pictures into monsters with each their own attack power. Interestingly as you can see below, a picture of a Japanese omelette rice dish was turned into a monster called Ketchapa. While another turned into a female monster called Mary (reference to Bloody Mary?).
More features like Breeding is also included in the game, where players can breed certain monsters by mating two monsters. It is unsure how the breeding system works for now or if there is a formula for breeding but no harm in experimenting if you are not afraid of chimeras. And of course, the game has a battle system where you can use your captured or bred monsters to battle against other players online either in multiplayer mode or single player mode.
