Looks like it’s time for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to get a clone game on the Apple App Store. Available under the name “魅影之狼:至暗时刻 黑暗忍者养成3D动作手游” by developer 志龙 徐, the Sekiro clone appears to be their only title on the Apple store, that is listed under this combination anyway.
On launching the game, it seems to offer two other games, namely Diablo 3 and a Dungeon Fighter game. Attempting to access the game requires a Chinese ID, typical of mobile games from China. Once you get past that hurdle, there will be a pop up requiring you to give the game a 5-star rating and give it a minimum 20 word comment to qualify you for a gift pack and “unlock the game”.
While we can’t check out if it actually is Sekiro, at the verification screen, you can roughly make out what we can assume to be the homescreen of the game. There’s a VIP system, some timed offers, and premium currency. It also plays vertically, which is not a typical orientation for action-oriented games.
Despite that, the menu does not render well on an iPhone. When they say it’s “made for iPad”, it really is. Needless to say, from this peek alone, we can probably safely assume the low quality screenshots does not represent the actual content of the game.
Hilariously enough, the copyright section of the game’s store listing reads “Sekiro – Hardcore Action Mobile Game”. We’ll see how long this game stays up, or if you’re able to try the game, why not let us know how it plays?
