Humble Mill is debuting Oblivion Override on Steam, their 2D side-scrolling action roguelike. It’ll be you, a robot, and a post-apocalyptic mechanical world where humanity is no more.

Oblivion Override takes place in a robotic era where humanity is a thing of the past. Robots still bear the shackles of the Oblivion Code – a failsafe program designed by their creators to neutralize hostile AI evolution.

As Crimson the combat robot, you’ll be sent out to venture into the desolate expanse of the Dulce Base on a cryptic mission. The game features fast-paced, high-intensity encounters to challenge players, requiring use of Crimson’s movement capabilities. These moves can be anything from multi-directional air dashes, double jumps, and wall runs, as you find attack styles and skills that best suit you from a variety of weapons. Toss enemies airborne with a battleaxe, or parry with a laser katana, are just two of the options you can look forward to.

On your inevitable (presumably) death, retrofit Crimson to rework skills, or simply chat with your allies. Unlock and upgrade your skills instantly with Nanites via the central cortex, accessible anywhere and anytime.
