ONE PIECE Odyssey has announced its release date at Tokyo Game Show 2022! Initially having projected a 2022 release date, ONE PIECE Odyssey will instead be available 12 January 2023, with the Steam release arriving 13 January 2022. This delay is to allow them to give more time to tell the best ONE PIECE story they can, in essence.
Alongside the release date, information regarding the assorted editions for the game and their bonuses that fans can try to get for themselves:
The standard set will come with a variety of consumables and materials, as well as a costume set for the characters featuring their previous looks.
The Digital Deluxe set will come with more costumes and materials, as well as a scenario DLC as part of the “expansion DLC set”.
Last but not least, the Asobi Store Collector’s Edition will come with all the previous bonuses as well as a scale figure of Luffy and Lim. As you can see, none of the prices were revealed.
The Tokyo Game Show 2022 livestream showcased a little more of the game’s mechanics:
- Overworld exploration with various interactions e.g. grappling, jumping, running
- Combat demo where poor Usopp has gotten stunned
- A slice of the story where the crew come across some strange, hungry birds…
