EA has announced that the base game of The Sims 4 is now available for all to download for free starting October 18th this year.
The Sims 4 is a social simulation game released in 2014 and can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and on PC via EA app, Origin and Steam.
EA Play and EA Play Pro members will be receiving an upgrade when the members-only bundle of The Sims 4 goes into The Play List the same day. EA Play members get the The Sims 4 Get To Work Expansion while EA Play Pro members get the same with the addition of The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack.

For those that have purchased the base game, everyone will be receiving the Desert Luxe Kit as a gift starting from September 14 through October 17.
Desert Luxe Kit includes luxurious indoor and outdoor furniture inspired by the natural landscape of the Southwestern desert and materials like stone and wood. Simply log into the game to redeem the gift on the main menu.
More updates for the game will also be revealed during a special edition stream, Behind The Sims Summit set to broadcast on October 18th this year, the same day the game goes free at 10 am PDT on The Sims Official YouTube channel and Official Twitch channel.
