Rejoice PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) fans! After the announcement of PUBG release in China, Tencent Games has brought us another good news – a mobile game based on PUBG is under development by Tencent Games and Bluehole (PUBG’s developer)! The mobile game is expected to release in China soon as the development is currently ongoing smoothly.
In case you don’t know about PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds yet, it is an online battle royale on PC, which rose to become 2017’s biggest gaming hit despite its early access status. The game has sold over 20 million copies in less than a year and will be soon released on Xbox One and PS4. Plenty of PUBG clones such as Knives Out and Terminator 2: Judgement Day has been surfacing on the mobile stores following the success of PUBG too.
The mobile version will be inheriting core mechanics from PUBG but modified to suit the requirements of the strict Chinese government. Unfortunately, there is no information about any release other than China region for now. Stay tuned for the updates!
