Ubisoft soft has unveiled a new Assassin’s Creed project under the codename of Jade. While the franchise has launched mobile game spin-offs in the past, this will be the first fully open-world Assassin’s Creed mobile game.
The game will be set in China in the year 215 BCE, right in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. The teaser trailer that was presented in the Ubisoft Forward showcase presents the main protagonist taking a leap of faith in the Great Wall of China.
Outside of climbing, the game will make use of all of the traditional Assassin’s Creed gameplay, stealth, killings, parkour, and a detailed open-world tour through history. The gameplay has been optimized to better-fit touch controls and for the first time in an open-world Assassin’s Creed game, you can fully customize your main character to your liking.
We, unfortunately, do not have much information about Assassin’s Creed Jade beyond this including when we can expect the game to release or even open for pre-registration.
This was just one of the many Assassin’s Creed projects presented at the Ubisoft Forward Assassin’s Creed Showcase. Others include the latest mainline console game Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the final DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, more details on Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and the announcement of an Assassin’s Creed Netflix show.
Assassin’s Creed Codename ‘Jade’ will be coming to iOS and Android devices sometime in the near future.
