Memento Mori to release in September 2022

Memento Mori has a release window set for September 2022, as announced through their social media. Unfortunately for us, that’s all we know about the upcoming release of Memento Mori, as no specific date has been set just yet.

What we do have is the pre-registration campaign, having crossed the 800,000 user milestone. Rewards available for players to collect include:

• 10,000: 100 Total Diamonds
• 30,000: 300 Total Diamonds
• 50,000: 500 Total Diamonds
• 100,000: 1000 Total Diamonds
• 150,000: 1500 Total Diamonds, SR [ The Witch of mourning Flowers ] Natasha
• 200,000: 2000 Total Diamonds
• 300,000: 3000 Total Diamonds
• 400,000: 4000 Total Diamonds
• 500,000: 5000 Total Diamonds

The English pre-registration portal has not been updated about any further stretch goal rewards, presumably to be announced when the game is closer to actual launch.

The story of the game is given as follows:

There are girls who many call “witches.”
Although they themselves are ordinary, they can wield slightly extraordinary powers.
However, when calamity spreads throughout the land, witches begin to be feared and detested.
Before long, the Church of Longinus commenced what would be known as “The Witch Hunt.”

“Witches are to blame for this calamity. If we kill them, then the calamity will vanish along with them!”

Witches are executed one by one.
But one day, as madness seizes control of the world, it is suddenly overrun by “Curses.”
A country incinerated by hellfire. A kingdom consumed by crystals. An empire purged by the Tree of Life.
Such are the woeful desires of those who are called “Witches of Qlipha.”
Without any means to defend themselves, nation after nation falls into ruin, until finally—
The fractured land is sent adrift high into the sky.

Meanwhile, the people have yet to take notice.
From within these girls cursed to be witches, there emanates glimmers of hope.
In order to save their decimated world, these girls set forth liberating the land from darkness.
For they believe that it is the right thing to do…
