The film is being developed by Sony’s PlayStation Production, a studio solely dedicated to making film adaptations of PlayStation’s video game properties. The studio make its debut with the film adaptation of Uncharted which premiered earlier this year.
PlayStation Productions has a number of other projects in the work, most notably a television series adaptation of The Last of Us which will premiere on HBO, and a movie adaptation of Gran Turismo, both scheduled for a 2023 release.
The Studio is also reportedly making films based on Ghost of Tsushima and Jak and Daxter as well as television series based on Twisted Metal, God of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn. All of these projects currently do not have confirmed release windows.
Days Gone is a zombie action-adventure game developed by Bend Studios. The game takes place in the Pacific Northwest of the United States in the middle of a zombie outbreak. The game stars the motorcyclist Deacon St. John as he attempts to brave the infested hoards in order to find his long-lost love.
