Stumble Guys, a mobile clone of the popular title Fall Guys has had an unexpected windfall in recent months- seeing a surge of players and revenue.
According to AppMagic, Stumble Guys last major update was on March 28th- the same month that Mediatonic was formally bought by Epic Games.
Since then, the game has had a massive spike in players- of the game’s 21 million USD in revenue, 14 million (approximately 2/3) has come after the March update.
Similarly, the lion’s share of the game’s downloads has also come following the game’s March update: 92 million of the game’s 162 million lifetime downloads all came since march, showing a massive surge in popularity.
The game is seeing some popularity in SEA, too: over 53 million of the game’s downloads come from the APAC regions, as well as 4 million USD of the game’s total revenue.
This is all a pretty impressive feat for Finnish developer Kitka games, whose sole title appears to be this Fall Guys clone.
Fans had been hungry for some kind of Fall Guys mobile experience since the day it came out, with many clones showing off their own deformed bean-people running obstacle courses with friends.
It’s not completely unlikely that we could see that coming soon- Fall Guys has already shifted to the free-to-play model, and once that’s sorted out the only real obstacle is making the game’s loop work on the smaller screen.
