The Skills of Financier Cookie

Financier Cookie is a defense cookie who fights in the front row. She is interesting in that her skill revolves around protecting one other unit in the party. Her top priority will always be Clotted Cream Cookie but if he’s not in use, her skill will protect the cookie with the strongest attack prowess.

Upon activating her skill ‘Paladin Protection’, she will heal both herself and the cookie she’s protecting as well as buff their attack, damage, and critical Resist, and generate a shield of light around them. Finally, she’ll deliver an attack called ‘Light’s Judgement ‘ which will hit enemies that attempt to damage the shield when it disappears.

Here are her skill stats:

• 15-sec base Cooldown
• Single hit DMG: 221.7% (+2.88% DMG per level)
• Paladin’s Protection Effects:
• Healing: 43.5% of ATK (+0.6% of ATK per level), 65.3% of ATK if target is Clotted Cream Cookie (+0.89% of ATK per level)
• DMG Resist: 20.0% for 15.0 sec
• CRIT Resist: 20.0% for 15.0 sec
• ATK Boost: 14.7% for 15.0 sec
• Light’s Shield: 12.7% of the Cookie’s Max HP for 5.0 sec
• Light’s Judgement: fixed DMG of 50.0% DMG received by Light’s Shield

The Best Use of Financier Cookie?

Please note, that as with every new Cookie added to Cookie Run Kingdom new strategies and uses are still being formed by the player base but this is what we found based on first impressions:

Financier Cookie certainly lives up to her role as bodyguard. Her primary role on any team is to keep herself and your strongest DPS attacker alive for as long as possible and she’s pretty good at it in both PvE and PvP. The buffs and healing that she can bring were keeping heavy hitters like Sorbet Shark, Dark Cacao, and especially Clotted Cream around for far longer and allowing them to dish out even heavier damage.

I actually tested her with Sorbet Shark, Sea Fairy, Cotton and Strawberry Crepe against the infamous Raspberry Cookie boss fight in world 11-27 and my team was able to beat her on the first try with auto-battle turned on. Considering the boss is a pain precisely because she targets your best attacker and you can see the difference that Financier makes with these types of enemies.

Her offense is just ok but that’s kind of the point. She buffs the attackers so they can do the real damage for her and the rest of the team.

That being said, she may make for a better side tank rather than the main tank, considering she only protects one unit. You could counter this by saying one well-buffed offense can beat enemies before they have a chance to cause too much damage but leaving the other cookies unprotected may make your party a little too vulnerable. I’ve been seeing her in use alongside fellow defense cookie Wildberry acting as the main tank, and I believe he compliments her well in this regard.

Best Toppings

She’s a defense cookie, which means she needs the same toppings as almost all other defense cookies: full almonds. You can throw on a couple of swift chocolates in there if you want to reduce her cool down but for the most part, if you want her to protect people, she’s gotta protect herself first.

Who is Financier Cookie?

Financier Cookie is the bodyguard and retainer of Clotted Cream Cookie throughout the Cookie Oddessey event. Here is her bio from the game:
