Sky, Light, and Rainbows

A colourful time awaits in Sky: Children of the Light, as players can venture forth to find rainbows everyday with Days of Rainbow. Be sure to download and join in the game through Huawei GameCenter app before the event ends 13 July 2022. You can also get ready for the new Season of Shattering that will be briefly happening concurrently too!

WHAT IS SKY: CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT? 

The game from thatgamecompany takes you on a journey to guide wayward spirits back home. With a candle in hand, light up both your life and others. The stories are told with no voice, so watch and listen. Encounter fellow wanderers along the way and share a bench for a tale or two. Should you be lost, simply call for help. Perhaps someday, you’ll find yourself guiding another new adventurer and you can look back to see how far you’ve come.

In the various lands you may find yourself in, there will be lost spirits to encounter. They may be hidden, and you may call for a guide to take their hand. You can get gifts from these spirits, including emotes to express yourself without a word, and new options to style yourself with.

If you really need to say a few words, find a blue candle and have your message be read by everyone around the world. As mentioned above, you can join in when you download Sky: Children of the Light through the GameCenter app for your device of choice.

DAYS OF RAINBOW

It’s easy enough to start enveloping yourself in all the colours of the rainbow. You’ll preferably progress through the game a little further, getting some spirits and wing upgrades so that you can more comfortably explore. Once you’ve unlocked more areas, you can also begin looking for rainbows in more places in the world, and immerse yourself in the wonderful atmosphere that Sky: Children of the Light can offer.

You can catch a spectacular double rainbow every hour that you can admire right from your Home hub. Double or not, don’t be afraid to swim over to the arch as it will give you some Light every day, or fly through it and leave your own rainbow streak across the sky. The friendly Event Guide can give you another nudge towards more things to do for the Days of Rainbow.

Aside from enjoying the simple beauty of the rainbow, charity is another avenue you can do through the game. A Double Rainbow Pack will be purchasable with real money via the in-game shop at $9.99, which will include a small rainbow-coloured flower accessory and 40 regular Candles. thatgamecompany will be donating 100% of the net proceeds from the Double Rainbow Pack towards charity efforts committed to diversity. SEASON OF SHATTERING

Coming soon to Sky: Children of the Light will be the Season of Shattering, scheduled for 11 July 2022 to 9 September 2022. The upcoming season will allow adventurers to earn season-exclusive items as well as new stories to discover.

Instead of spirits, the Void of Shattering will be the seasonal guide. Shard Eruptions are raining down remnants of Darkness into the world. Adventurers will have to come together once more to purify the Darkness and prevent the kingdom from being swallowed whole. It may be tough, but it will be well worth the time as you won’t be leaving empty handed. Clear the Hidden Forest so that you may lend your helping hand once the Season begins.
