Should You Pull The New Wind Banner and Octagram Luminus in Slime ISEKAI Memories?

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Memories is adding a spooky new wind banner as well as Octagram Luminus to the game.

[The Necromancing Devil] Diablo is the new 5★ wind battle character in Slime ISEKAI Memories. Wind Diablo is a magical damage dealer with a high ATK growth. He also has a single target Secret Skill, which is always nice.

As for his skills, this spooky secretary’s 1st skill is a 25 (15) cost self-buff which increases his ATK by 15% (20%) and all gauges’ increase of his own souls by 10％. Both of these effects last for a whopping 3 turns each!

Diablo’s second skill is a 35 (25) cost ability which increases his own critical rate by 80％ (100%) while also decreasing a single target’s DEF by 15％, both effects lasting 1 turn.

It goes without saying that Diablo offers the punch currently lacking in the wind team. ATK buff, DEF debuff and guaranteed crit are amazing, instantly making him one of the best nukers in the game. On top of that, 3 turn ATK buff is longer than any ATK buff so far. Long story short, Diablo rocks.

[The Badlands Dragonewt] Gabiru is the new wind protector available in the same banner as Diablo. He is the first protector who boosts wind ATK and magic ATK to the party.

His Protection Skill has 3 effects:

• Changes Soul of Skills into Soul of Divine Protection
• Increases the M-ATK of the ally with the highest ATK by 15％ (Turns: 1)
• Increases skill points by 15

As a protector, Gabiru isn’t too outstanding. While he offers the highest damage increase to magical damage dealers, merely offering a Soul Change is pretty average.

Overall, if you have the Magicrystals to spare, I highly recommend pulling this banner specifically for [The Necromancing Devil] Diablo. [The Badlands Dragonewt] Gabiru is alright, but not a must-pull.

The new Octagram unit for the month of July is [The Elegant Blood] Luminus Valentine, a dark element magical damage dealer. Stat-wise, she enjoys the benefit of Octagram-level stats, but with a higher HP growth. Despite that, she still has more ATK than any non-Octagram unit in the game. Unfortunately, she has a multi-target Secret Skill, but it does hit for 290% instead of the standard 270%.

Luminus’s 1st skill costs 35 (25) points, increasing Soul of Combos damage until the end of battle by 10％ (20%) up to a maximum of 60%. It also has the added effect of healing the ally with the lowest percentage of HP by 10％ of their max HP

Her second skill costs 25 (15) points. It has the positive effect of increasing all Souls’ Secret Skill gauge increase by 40％ (50%), but also has the negative effect of decreasing all Souls’ Protection gauge increase by 25％. Both of these effects lasts for 3 turns.

Should you spend your Octagram Emblems on [The Elegant Blood] Luminus Valentine? I’ll suggest holding onto your emblems first. She’s a rather situational unit that shines in a team that’s specifically aimed at generating Soul of Secrets and buffing Secret Skill damage. Anywhere else, however, and she’s not as impactful.
