Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles has slashed its way onto the Nintendo Switch and Sega was kind enough to send us a copy of the game’s Limited Edition.
We opened the limited edition package which includes a case, the game itself, and an Original Figurine Device Stand.
The outside box is a nice collector’s piece featuring the main art of the game printed on the front and all of the playable characters including demons and demon slayers on the back.
The box is protected by the cardboard sleeve that when slid off when reveals even more high-quality key art of the game against a deep red frame. It gives off a rather premium feel and would look great on any player’s shelf.
We of course have the game in the regular red Nintendo Switch case. It’s rated 15 plus because killing demons is a dangerous business.
Finally, we have the main attraction of the collector’s edition: the Original Figurine Device Stand.
Here we have the game’s three main characters, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke holding up your primary weapon in battling the forces of the night: your device stood atop a serene wave of blooming flowers.
The figures have a more chibi art style but they are well detailed. The stand is a multi-purpose device that can be used to hold up your Switch, controller, or even your smartphone. It feels fairly sturdy meaning you won’t have to worry about accidentally damaging the plastic when you rest your joy-cons on it.
That was our look at the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. Its premium box and cute stand make it a worthy addition to any Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fan’s collection.
The game is now available for the Nintendo Switch as well as the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Nintendo Switch version of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is available in both the standard and limited edition.
