The Isekai Revelry event in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Memories is bringing a new Diablo and Rimuru into the game. Unlike the previous space-element units, the new Diablo and Rimuru are dark characters.
Like the original Diablo, [Ebony Demon] Diablo is a dark-element battle character. Unlike the original Diablo, Ebony Demon deals magical damage and has a higher ATK growth. The new Diablo also has a single-target Secret Skill.
As for his skills [Ebony Demon] Diablo’s 1st skill is a 25 (15) cost self-buff which increases his Soul of Combos damage by 70% (80%) for 1 turn. His second skill is also a 25 (15) cost self-buff, but it increases his counterattack rate by 80% (100%) and counter power by 20%, both for 1 turn.
While [Ebony Demon] Diablo basically replaced [The Black Progenitor] Diablo for best dark team nuker, his second skill leaves much to be desired. Counter isn’t really useful at the moment, as there’s barely any strong support for counter-based gameplay.
Besides Diablo, [Stately Sovereign] Rimuru Tempest can also be pulled in the same banner in Slime ISEKAI Memories. The new Rimuru is a Protection character who increases dark units’ ATK by 16% and space units’ ATK by 8%. His Protection Skill has 3 effects:
- Increases all allies’ DEF by 40% (Turns: 2)
- Increases all allies’ dark ATK by 15% (Turns: 2)
- Decreases the skill cost by 20 for vanguard allies (Cannot go below each skill’s initial cost)
While decreasing the skill cost does have great potential, [Stately Sovereign] Rimuru Tempest feels underwhelming compared to other Protection characters.
As a result, I recommend skipping Diablo and Rimuru from the Isekai Revelry part 3 banner in Slime ISEKAI Memories. Unless you’re absolutely a huge fan of either of them, your Magicrystals are better spent elsewhere.
