Gurren Lagann will be getting its own mobile game, set to release in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau sometime in the future. The game is a joint collaboration between KLab, Wanda Cinemas Games and Aniplex Shanghai.
Check out the trailer for the game below:
The Gurren Lagann mobile game (there is no official English name for it as of now) is currently recruiting closed beta testers. The closed beta test recruitment period is open for 10 days until 16 May 2022. Interested players can head to the game’s website to sign up. Note that only 1,000 players will be selected, with rewards up for grabs for testers.
The game is described as a strategy RPG that follows the events of Gurren Lagann. Besides that, not much is known about the game. There is no mention of a release date or whether it will be launched in regions outside of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
Released back in 2007, Gurren Lagann is currently celebrating its 15th anniversary. The 27-episode mecha anime is known for its over to the top action scenes, primarily featuring oversized drills. You can watch Gurren Lagann on Netflix.
