Clover Theater is now accepting applications for an upcoming closed beta test for its Japanese release. As you might expect, this is meant for Japanese players only, which hardly stops anyone from outside the country to try. A new promotional trailer has been released to coincide with this announcement, available below:
To apply for the Clover Theater closed beta, you can head over to the official website page here. You’ll be asked to pick your favourite genre(s) where applicable:
- Genre 1 inclusive of games like Princess Connect, Blue Archive
- Genre 2 inclusive of games like Azur Lane, Arknights
- Genre 3 inclusive of games like AFK Arena, F/GO
- Others such as MMORPGs, rhythm games, sports, FPS, etc.
Once done, provide your email address and you’re good to go after agreeing to the terms of service. The test will only be for Android, recommended to have 2GB RAM and 64-bit support. Applications will be accepted until 18 April 2022, 23:59 JST with the test period running from 20 April 2022, 15:00 JST to 27 April 2022, 23:59 JST. Data will be deleted once the test period ends. There does not appear to be a hard cap of players for the test, but there is a caveat that you’re not guaranteed to be able to participate anyway.
The basic premise of the game is you being the troupe leader / manager / etc of the titular Clover Theater Theater Company, to run your, well, theater, with performance tours together with your large cast of moe monster girls. The game has since celebrated its first anniversary in China, while it’s unknown if it will be available globally.
