Check out the designs for Kamen Rider Black Sun and Shadow Moon

Recently, the official Kamen Rider website revealed the designs for the costumes and motorcycles for Kamen Rider Black Sun and Shadow Moon.

Needless to say, this 2022 reboot film of the beloved Kamen Rider Black series look especially badass. Check them out below:

The Black Sun riders’ costumes are reminiscent of the more beetle-like designs of the Showa era. The designs are brought to life by Shinji Higuchi, who previously worked with Hideaki Anno on the Shin Japan Heroes Universe films.

Black Sun was announced as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the legendary tokusatsu series. It was originally planned to release in spring 2022, but was delayed to fall 2022. Other films announced during the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary celebrations include Shin Kamen Rider and Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations.

The film tells the story of stepbrothers Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki who are subjected to cyborg surgery to become Kamen Rider Black Sun and Shadow Moon. The two end up becoming bitter rivals and continually battle vying to be the most powerful. The film will be directed by acclaimed director Kazuya Shiraishi.
