Hogwarts Legacy, which was previously confirmed to be released on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC is now implied to be also coming to the Nintendo Switch.
This comes due to the official Hogwarts Legacy website FAQs stating that the game will be coming to the Switch, as well as showing the Switch logo alongside the Playstation and Xbox logos at the bottom of the page.
This seems to more or less confirm that a Nintendo Switch version of the game will be released. There’s a small chance that the placement of its logo could be a mistake however with such as high profile title, I doubt its’ official media would slip up like that.
The reason a Switch version has not been confirmed up until now could be that there’s a chance it will be released after the other versions and may be ported by a separate development team. This is often the case for Switch ports of modern games such as with Doom Eternal port to the Switch.
Hogwarts Legacy was featured today on a Playstation State of Play, where features of the game were shown in greater detail such as its open-world Hogwarts School and general premise.
The game looks beautiful on the next-generation consoles which makes me skeptical about how well it will run on the Switch. But hey, if they can get Doom Eternal and The Witcher up and running on the Switch and manage to make them perfectly playable, there’s a chance that Hogwarts Legacy could also shine on the portable machine.
