Apple announced the 2022 iPhone SE today, sporting features to compete with the iPhone 13 series at a more affordable price.
The phone will be available for pre order this Friday, and will be available for purchase starting March 18th, from RM2099.
The star of the 2022 iPhone SE presentation was its A15 Bionic chipset- the same one present in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro that also supports 5G.
Thanks to its advanced Neural Engine and advanced GPU, you’ll be able to access multiple new features not available in prior iPhone SE models- such as being able to identify text from photos as well as play the latest games on Apple Arcade.
More importantly, it introduces a new feature to the Apple suite of features- a Focus feature, allowing you to turn off certain notifications based on your tasks, with presets for driving or even gaming.
While it lacks the multi lens of its 13 counterpart, the new SE sports a single-lens 12MP camera allowing you to take gorgeous photos of your every day life and enhance them with the different Photographic Styles.
Finally, it also sports the features people love most about the SE line of smartphones- namely, keeping features that newer phones tend to ditch such as a more compact size or a physical home button.
This year’s model sports a 4.7-inch Retina Display and the physical home button, meaning you’ll have a dedicated space to tap and unlock your phone screen via Touch ID.
