From Bandai Tamashii Nations comes a figure from a classic shounen franchise—Saint Seiya‘s Hypnos from the series’ Cloth Myth EX lineup. While Cloth Myth EX has been around for over a decade now, Hypnos is one of the newest figures from this lineup, having only been released in December last year.
What makes the Cloth Myth EX lineup an improvement over the original Cloth Myth is the improved mobility and articulation the figures have over its predecessors. Just like his twin brother Thanatos, Hypnos comes with an array of shiny accessories. Standing at about 180 mm tall, it’s made with ABS and PVC.
As an action figure, Hypnos can make various poses and actions easily. You can even move his hands up and down to perform his signature movie, ‘Eternal Drowsiness’. Even his attire can be adjusted to form more dynamic poses.
Poses aside, Hypnos also comes with four different facial expressions. You can swap them around to show him smiling, closing his eyes and more. Even though his armor is dark, the pieces have a glossy lustre to them, which is nice. Here are all the contents of the figure:
- Main figure
- Die-cast armour
- Object Frme
- 4 interchangeable facial expressions
- 3 interchangeable hands (left and right)
- Interchangeable hair part
- Fabric robe
- Torah Ark
- Seal for Torah Ark
Besides the armour, you can also dress Hypnos up in a white robe. The robe is actually made of cloth and not plastic, which is surprisingly nice to touch. Just make sure not to get the spotless robe dirty, or he might get pretty upset!
