UPDATE: We have an updated UR character tier list for My Hero Ultra Impact for the current month. Feel free to read it here. Note that this tier list is only for UR characters in the game.
If you’re new to My Hero Ultra Impact, you should check out our reroll tier list and starting team suggestions beforehand.
S Tier
Green [Wild Curiosity] Nejire Hado
Role: Healer
Tags: U.A. Student | Hero | Big Three | Female
The newest addition to My Hero Ultra Impact easily makes her way to the top of our tier list. Green Nejire is busted and is easily the best support in the game. She heals your team and fills their Plus Ultra Gauge ridiculously fast, buffs allies’ ATK and debuffs enemies’ ATK. She’ll also survive a fatal attack once, making her extremely good in just about anything the game throws at you.
Red [Persistence] Eijiro Kirishima
Role: Tank
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
The gold standard of a tank. On top of being able to outright negate and reduce damage, he can redirect enemy attacks towards him, making him extremely effective in Arena. He passively increases all red allies’ ATK, making him the backbone of any mono-red team.
Blue [Heroism] Eijiro Kirishima
Role: Tank
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Blue Kirishima is as good and possibly even better than his red counterpart when it comes to tanking. Blue Kirishima negates damage a lot easier than Red Kirishima, but instead of increasing ATK, he increases blue allies’ HP.
Red [Unrelenting Desire] Overhaul
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: Villain | Male
Overhaul is an extremely dominant force in PvP. He has one of the hardest hitting Plus Ultra attacks in the game which hits even harder if the enemy is a hero, which is basically the majority of all characters. His passive skills make him incredibly hard to kill while also dealing a lot more damage.
Green [Post-Struggle] Shoto Todoroki
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
While Green Todoroki may not hit as hard as Overhaul, his ability to freeze enemies consistently make him very annoying to deal with. Freeze not only stuns the enemy, but guarantees a crit, which helps him to synergies with many different characters. When his HP drops low enough, he’ll also automatically freeze the attacker.
Green [Advantage] Ochaco Uraraka
Role: Healer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Female
Even though Nejire is the better support, Green Uraraka’s position as the core of any green team has not changed. Uraraka provides an ATK buff to green characters just by being on the team, which is huge. Combine that with the ability to give allies’ evasion, and she’s still easily top tier.
Red [Fire Power!] Endeavor
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: Hero | Pro Hero | Male
Endeavor is similar to Overhaul as both characters specialise in hitting hard while being hard to kill. Endeavor’s Plus Ultra Attack lets him survive the next fatal blow. When combine that with his skill that lets him deal more damage the lower his HP is, he becomes an extremely dangerous opponent that needs to be taken out. Thankfully, that’s what Red Kirishima is here for.
A Tier
Yellow [In Shadows] Shota Aizawa
Role: Debuffer
Tags: U.A. Teacher | Hero | Pro Hero | Male
Yellow Aizawa counters many characters and teams hard thanks to his ability to stop enemies from using skills. While this is extremely useful, the reason why he’s not in S tier is due to lack of synergy. Sure, Yellow Aizawa can increase Pro Heroes’ ATK just by being on the team, but just having Pro Heroes on your main team is not ideal.
Green [Sharp Gale] Hawks
Role: Support
Tags: Hero | Pro Hero | Male
Green Hawk’s whole shtick is being able to give your team Evasion and increasing speed at the same time. However, he shines more as a Guest character instead of being on your main team. With Nejire added to My Hero Ultra Impact, Hawks has become less valuable in a mono-green team, lowering his standing on our tier list.
Blue [Number One] Katsuki Bakugo
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Blue Bakugo is an extremely solid damage dealer. However, even with teammates like Blue Kirishima and Yaoyorozu backing him up, he just doesn’t have enough firepower when compared to other damage dealers like Endeavor and Overhaul, who synergise with their team a lot better. Blue Bakugo’s passives also work better in PvE than in PvP, making him a less attractive prospect in Arena.
Blue [Ever Ready] Momo Yaoyorozu
Role: Healer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
A slightly weaker version of Nejire, Momo is the backbone of the mono-blue team, capable of healing, filling up Plus Ultra Gauge and passively increasing Blue allies’ ATK.
Purple [Ruler of Evil] All For One
Role: Support
Tags: League of Villains | Villain | Male
All For One specialises in reducing the cooldown of his and his allies skills. Unfortunately, his passive skill that increases League of Villain’s crit rate does not work on Overhaul, the best Villain in the game. While the other Villains do provide synergy with each other, they’re not as individually powerful as those in S tier.
Purple [Evil Unbound] Tomura Shigaraki
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: League of Villains | Villain | Male
The second core to a Villain team alongside All For One, Purple Shigaraki increases League of Villain’s ATK just by being on the team. He also counters Pro Heroes hard as most of his skills are more effective when used against Pro Heroes.
Blue [Expectations] Izuku Midoriya
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Blue Deku AKA Air Force Deku deals a lot of damage with both of his skills as long as he’s above 50% HP. If his HP drops below that, he will evade the next 3 attacks, making him really annoying to deal with.
Yellow [Reach It!] Mirio Togata
Role: Tank/Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | Hero | Big Three | Male
Lemillion is something of a dodge tank, able to give himself evasion while drawing enemy attacks towards him. His skill damage increases significantly when he drops below half health.
Purple [My Own Will] Shoto Todoroki
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Purple Todoroki has extremely high damage potential, as long as he’s built around increasing his crit rate. Has trouble with teammate synergy, since he needs teammates who buff his crit rate to reach his full potential.
Green [Never Give Up] Izuku Midoriya
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Green Deku specialises in not dying. He’s extremely hard to kill thanks to how often he gives himself Grit. While he may not have the best synergy with other characters, Deku makes a terrifying opponent to face in a 1v1 situation, so be careful if you see him in Arena.
B Tier
Red [Crush Despair!] All Might
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Teacher | Hero | Pro Hero | Male
Red All Might can deal a lot of damage, but his kit is hampered by the fact that he requires various debuffs on the enemy in order for his skills to reach maximum damage potential.
Green [Sharp Words] Hitoshi Shinso
Role: Damage Dealer/Debuffer
Tags: U.A. Student | Hero | Male
Shinso deals a variety of debuffs towards enemies, but nothing too debilitating. He can pump out respectable damage and even cause confusion, but he just doesn’t possess the same impact as other Green characters.
Yellow [Burst Attack] Katsuki Bakugo
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Yellow Bakugo can buff his team’s crit rate and also put out quite a bit of damage on his own, but he needs another character like Green Hawks to buff his speed in order for his skills to do more damage.
Purple [Hidden Attack] Shota Aizawa
Role: Debuffer
Tags: U.A. Teacher | Hero | Pro Hero | Male
A less desirable version of his Yellow counterpart, Purple Aizawa is good at removing enemies’ buffs. He also increases 1-A Students crit rate just by being on the team, which helps him to pair well with Purple Todoroki.
Purple [Merciless] Katsuki Bakugo
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Purple Bakugo can deal decent damage. His issue is that his passive skills need to take multiple turns in order for them to be fully active.
Red [Awakening] Tomura Shigaraki
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: League of Villains | Villain | Male
A damage dealer who can hit hard, the problem with Red Shigaraki is his self-damage. He needs to be teamed up with a healer, but every healer in the game synergises better with other characters instead of Red Shigaraki.
Green [Bloody Love] Himiko Toga
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: League of Villains | Villain | Female
Green Toga deals more damage against 1-A Students, but beyond that, she doesn’t bring much to the table.
Blue [My Target] Himiko Toga
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: League of Villains | Villain | Female
An inferior version of Blue Bakugo who causes enemies to bleed instead of burn.
Yellow [Swelling Heart] Shoto Todoroki
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Yellow Todoroki trades the amazing freeze effect his other variants have for more burn, which isn’t that good.
Blue [Camouflage] Tsuyu Asui
Role: Debuffer/Support
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Female
Tsuyu can cause various debuffs against the enemy while supporting the team by filling their Plus Ultra Gauges at the start of battle. Her debuffs aren’t that impactful, though, and you’ll almost always want Momo over Tsuyu.
C Tier
Blue [Swift Strike] Hawks
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: Hero | Pro Hero | Male
While Blue Hawks may have short cooldowns on his skills, he needs someone else to buff his speed. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of characters who do.
Yellow [Symbol of Peace] All Might
Role: Support
Tags: U.A. Teacher | Hero | Pro Hero | Male
Yellow All Might is useful if your strategy involves trying to trigger your team’s Plus Ultra Attacks ASAP. From turn 2 onwards, he takes too long to come back online, and is somewhat of a deadweight.
Purple [Flashing Bolts] Denki Kaminari
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
All of Denki’s skills are very situational, and require specific conditions to be met before they get their maximum effect. Furthermore, while his Plus Ultra Attack can hit all enemies, he also hurts his allies. Requires far too much set up to be effective.
Yellow [In Shadows] Fumikage Tokoyami
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Tokoyami’s skills revolve around his normal attacks hitting twice. As such, he needs several turns of hitting enemies in order to fully come online. Even then, he doesn’t have that big of an impact.
Red [Final Blow] Izuku Midoriya
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
Red Deku is a glass cannon through and through. While he can pair well with Red Kirishima, his needing to damage himself in order to increase his attack is just an unnecessary risk. Other damage dealers can do what he does without the added risk.
D Tier
Yellow [My Ability] Izuku Midoriya
Role: Damage Dealer
Tags: U.A. Student | 1-A Student | Hero | Male
The problem with Yellow Deku is that he’s built around speed to achieve maximum damage. Even when you accomplish that, his damage is still pretty mediocre. Virtually every other damage dealer in the game will outdamage him.
