That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Memories players can already catch Leon Cromwell in action way before the anime does. [The Platinum Devil] Leon Cromwell is currently available in the game, but is he worth pulling for? Let’s find out.
Leon is a light-element unit who deals magical damage. His stats lean towards him having a high ATK stat, but it’s somewhat wasted as his Secret Skill targets all enemies for 270% damage instead of a strong, single-target attack.
As for his skills, this Demon Lord can change 1 Soul of Divine Protection for Soul of Secrets for. However, what he really has going for him is his other skill, which can buff all allies’ light ATK by a whopping 40% (50%) for a single turn. Note that this skill is expensive and costs 65 (55) skill points.
As you can already gather, Leon’s sole purpose is his ATK buff. It’s the highest ATK buff in the game, but it only works for light allies. This makes it extremely deadly with Gazel, who’s an incredibly hard-hitting nuker thanks to his self-buffs.
Is that reason enough to pull for him? Even taking into account future content, the answer is NO. Space Rimuru fulfils the same role, being able to buff all allies’ ATK, regardless of element, for 35% (40%). Even at max level, the extra 10% ATK buff Leon still makes him inferior to Space Rimuru’s versatility, who also possesses a strong DEF buff.
Unless you’re someone who spends a lot of money on Slime ISEKAI Memories, [The Platinum Devil] Leon Cromwell is just not worth it. Even if you have all 5★ light characters maxed out as 6★, I’ll still argue that wasting an entire character slot just for that 10% extra ATK over Space Rimuru isn’t justified. Regardless, if you find him cool or just really like light teams, feel free to pull for him.
