My Hero Ultra Impact has officially launched globally, but players are still unable to play the game as it immediately went into maintenance. The game has been on impromptu maintenance for over 4 hours now, leading to many players getting frustrated.
The game was originally planned to launch at 3.00 pm JST today. Players who logged in were met with a puzzle authentication that they have to complete, similar to Genshin Impact. However, no images for the puzzle would appear, making it nigh impossible to complete. A few minutes after 3.00 pm, the game has since gone under impromptu maintenance.
[Notice to customers]
We are currently making the final adjustments toward the start of the service.
We hope you can wait for a little longer.
We will announce it here again once the service becomes available, so please look forward to the start of MY HERO ULTRA IMPACT!#MHUI— MY HERO ULTRA IMPACT (@MyHeroUI) February 9, 2022
With no estimated end time for the maintenance, players are understandably upset. Players who try to get into the game will be met with the following notice:
On the Google Play Store, the game’s review score has dropped from 4.8 stars to nearly going under 4 stars. If Bandai Namco Entertainment doesn’t resolve the issue soon, chances are likely that the game’s score will drop even further.
Previously, a similar issue happened to the launch of Slime ISEKAI Memories, another mobile game from Bandai Namco. The game was playable for a few hours immediately upon launch, before being unable to be played by the majority of the player base for almost an entire day.
