My Hero Ultra Impact takes the quirky cast of Heroes and Villains and lets players assemble their team to take on their enemies. Players can take up to 5 units into battle, with 3 characters in the frontline and 2 as substitutes. In order to clear missions with a 3★ rating, you should not resort to substitutes.
As a result, this guide will suggest some of the best team combinations you can consider using as your main 3-man team in My Hero Ultra Impact at the start of the game. You can form your ideal team immediately after rerolling for UR characters, which is what we’re basing our suggestions on.
Starting Team Combinations
Mono Green (Ochaco + Todoroki + Hawks)
As the only colour with 3 URs from the tutorial reroll, this is a no-brainer. Ochaco serves as the healer and buffs the whole team’s attack as everyone is green. Hawks grants evasion and offers decent damage while Todoroki acts as your main damage dealer with a side of Burn and Freeze. Overall, this team is extremely hard to kill while also offering strong offensive options thanks to Todoroki and support from Hawks.
Blue Momo + Blue Bakugo + Green Todoroki
Kacchan takes the damage dealer role here as both Momo and Todoroki are here to ensure he can hit insane numbers. Blue Momo helps to buff her fellow Blue classmate Bakugo while also offering heals and filling Plus Ultra gauge. Todoroki can set up Bakugo by Freezing enemies for Bakugo to guarantee a critical hit while also offering additional damage.
Green Ochaco + Green Todoroki + Blue Bakugo
While not as synergistic as the previous team, the Bakugo and Todoroki combo still works extremely well. Ochaco helps keep the team healthy while both Todoroki and Bakugo deliver the beatdown. You can use this as your starting team before obtaining other Green and Blue units to diversify in the future.
Synergistic UR Pairings
Besides the synergies listed above, if you’re planning to run with 2 UR characters with the hopes of getting a third one to complete the team in the future, here are several pairings you can consider:
Purple All For One + Purple Shigaraki
Both of these two baddies buff each other up just by being in the team. All For One buffs Villain critical rate while Shigaraki buffs League of Villains attack. These two form the backbone of a Villain team, so all you need to do is add another Villain like Overhaul and you’re set.
Yellow Aizawa + Green Hawks
Aizawa buffs the power of his fellow Pro Heroes, so teaming up with the Pro Hero Hawks is a pretty straightforward pick. Both Aizawa and Hawks can shut down enemies via skill sealing and evasion, making it a strong combo. Add a heavy damage Pro Hero like All Might to the team in the future for more killing power.
Red Kirishima + Red Deku
Red Kirishima is an excellent tank while Red Deku hurts himself a lot to deal massive damage. This pairing helps to keep Deku alive thanks to Kirishima’s ability to direct hits from enemies towards him. Also, Red Kirishima buffs the attack of his Red teammates, making this duo extremely potent.
Green Hawks + Yellow Deku
This pairing is weaker than the previous 3. I’m only including this since Yellow Deku is the only UR unit that hasn’t been mentioned so far.
Hawks can buff speed, which is what Yellow Deku scales on for his damage. Evasion and offering 2x normal attacks help beef Deku up even further. Unfortunately, Yellow Deku doesn’t contribute much to the team, so only consider this pairing if you’re serious about using Yellow Deku.
That is all the recommended teams and pairings when you start out in My Hero Ultra Impact. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our reroll tier list as well. You can also check out our UR character tier list, which ranks all UR characters currently available in global.
