Respawn Entertainment has announced the soft launch for the upcoming Apex Legends Mobile, which will include SEA Region countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore in its line-up.
No exact release date was given for Apex Legends Mobile- Instead, Respawn simply urges players pre-register for the game so they’ll be able to download it when it becomes available to play.
In a tweet, Respawn listed all the countries that would have access to the Apex Legends Mobile Soft Launch, which includes countries from Latin America, the SEA Region as well as Oceania.
Here’s the full list of countries that will access the Soft Launch for the game:
- Argentina
- Colombia
- Peru
- Mexico
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- Singapore
- The Philippines
- Australia
- New Zealan
Interestingly enough this excludes several big markets, such as China, Japan, Korea and Europe.
It’s no surprise that Malaysia would be on the list of countries for Apex Legends Mobile- the game does value its SEA players, having included them in the prior Beta test for its mobile version.
That being said, it does look like the soft launch is extremely limited in its scope even within the selected territories- the tweet makes no mention of an iOS version, so fans eagerly awaiting a mobile version of EA’s popular battle royale will have to wait alongside other players for more news at a later date for the game’s launch.
