Cover Corporation has finally released Hololive ERROR for download , the free horror game based on characters from Hololive.
The game’s available to download for free from the Hololive ERROR website, although as of right now it’s only available in Japanese.
The game was announced several months back, and Hololive has been having frequent livestreams as well as 360 videos to promote the bizarre new title based on Hololive’s various Vtubers.
That being said, the version that’s available for download isn’t the full version, rather more of an introduction to the overall horror project.
It’s not a particularly complex game- it’s a pseudo walking simulator, wherein your character navigates a seemingly endless hallway as the game continues to build up tension with things like apparations and the most terrifying jumpscare, Vtuber Tokino Sora.
For fans hoping to just muscle through without a working knowledge of Japanese though, a lot of the tension comes from picking up various notes in the hallway, so you’ll want to at least have some sort of live translation app like Google Lens to get the full experience.
There’s been no word on an English release of the title, though presumably it may not be too hard for the EN community to simply patch it in, either.
Funnily enough this isn’t the first game to release featuring Hololive characters, or even the first horror game- just a few months back saw the release of Evil God Korone, another walking simulator featuring the Vtuber Inugami Korone.
