Professional Street Fighter V player Robinho has been banned from at least one major fighting game tournament, after admitting to raping his ex girlfriend on stream.
In a clip translated and circulated by Twitter user Cruz, Robinho talks about how he raped his then-girlfriend for cheating on him, through the lens of a funny story from his past. Viewer discretion is advised for the clip, since it literally describes some pretty heinous stuff.
Can't say I'm proud to contribute to the FGC with this translation, but here goes.
🚨A bit of context to our viewers:
Robinho is a Brazilian SFV proplayer that got qualified to the CPT.
He was previously involved in a vaccination controversy, and now he brought this up mid-stream pic.twitter.com/SrFDd3sIpx— Cruz ☯️ (@CruzaderOnline) January 6, 2022
Robinho was previously qualified for the Capcom Pro Tour, Capcom’s elite Street Fighter V tournament which featured other big players, such as Daigo and Punk.
The official account for Frosty Faustings was quick to respond to the clip, saying that he had been banned from attending the tournament indefinitely.
“Robinho is now banned from attending any Frosty Faustings events indefinitely.“, the tweet reads.
Robinho’s Twitch channel has also since been deleted, though it’s unclear if this was deleted by Twitch for violating terms of service or by him so people couldn’t find the source clip.
According to Cruz Robinho’s also been banned from his own local tournaments, with at least one of his prizes being forfeit and awarded to the next runner-up.
“Yeah, he’s already banned from most tournaments in his home country and the prize from his most recent win got forfeit and delivered to the 2nd placer instead. He also got kicked out from Patoz Team as well”, Cruz says. “It’s been less than 24 hours but we’re definitely seeing action”.
While the Capcom Pro Tour Twitter account hasn’t commented on the matter, fans have noticed that he’s since been removed from the list of qualified players for the Capcom Pro Tour.
UPDATE: Capcom has released a statement regarding Robinho, giving him a permanent global ban from all Capcom-related tournaments.

Articles referencing Robinho and his Street Fighter V achievements from the Capcom Pro Tour page have also been removed, almost as if they were cutting ties with him completely
The greater fighting game community has been working on cleaning up its act in recent years, calling out terrible behavior like this in recent years, such as with the outing of Skullgirls creator MikeZ as well as EVO founder Mr Wizard.
