The upcoming Quintessential Quintuplets movie is confirmed to be released into Japanese cinemas on the 20th of May in 2022.
The movie will act as a continuation of the previous two seasons of the television anime series. It will also be acting as a finale for a series, adapting the ending of the manga.
Here is the trailer for the movie:
The movie is being animated by Bibury Animation Studios who worked on the second season of the Quintessential Quintuplets anime as well as the anime adaptation of Azur Lane.
It is being directed by Masato Jinbo who had previously directed anime such as Restaurant to Another World and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya seasons 2 and 3.
The Quintessential Quintuplets is a harem comedy anime about a smart but poor high schooler who has been hired to teach five wealthy Quintuplet sisters whose grades are failing. While they’re first hostile to his attempts to teach them, they eventually start to warm up to him and eventually begin falling for him. Which one will get the guy? That’s the big question of the anime that will likely be answered in this movie.
The Quintessential Quintuplets movie will release on the 20th of May in 2022 in Japan. There is currently no word on if it will release in overseas cinemas but with more anime films getting international releases closer to their Japanese premier, we can remain hopeful that this one will as well.
