Space Harrier II flies into mobile soon

Adding to its ever-growing stable of Sega Forever titles, Sega will be bringing Space Harrier II to Android. The game will most likely launch on 14 September 2017, given that Golden Axe, the previous game under the Sega Forever banner got released on 31 August 2017, putting it on a bi-weekly release cycle.

So a little backstory in case you have never heard of the game. In Space Harrier II, you play as the superhuman Harrier, who returns to Fantasy Land to fight off an attacking force entirely by himself. And that’s about. The beauty of games like these is that they were designed with gameplay in mind, with the plot just getting in the way. In addition, Space Harrier II is notable for being one of six launch titles for the Sega Genesis console. As for the actual gameplay, Space Harrier is a mix of an endless runner and bullet hell.
