Update – 08/06/23: As of this update, 7-Eleven have taken down their post regarding Pokemon TCG Cards being sold in Malaysia. We will continue to update the article as the story unfolds.
7-Eleven Malaysia has announced that they will be selling Pokemon TGC Cards as part of 7CAFé at local convenience stores across the country.
This was announced on the official 7-Eleven Malaysia FB Page, where they invite players to “Collect, battle, and trade your way to becoming a Pokemon Master”.
They will be sold specifically at 7CAFé, a sub-brand of 7-11 that is available in the majority of their stores and allows customers to buy freshly brewed coffee.
The first expansion set of Pokemon TCG cards that will be sold at 7-11 seems to be the initial Pokemon Scarlet & Violet set that was first launched alongside the Gen 9 Pokemon video games of the same name bringing popular new monsters like Sprigatito, Koraidon, Miraidon, and Amarougue.
This isn’t the first time that 7-11 Malaysia has teamed up with Pokemon. They have previously sold Pokemon mini-figures at their stores and a collaboration where customers can collect stickers by buying certain products and gaining enough of these stickers can allow the person to redeem a prize.
The latest mainline Pokemon games Scarlet and Violet are available for Nintendo Switch.
