5v5 mode for Vainglory is out today

A Vainglory event featuring the much awaited 5v5 mode is released by Super Evil Megacorp today (13 February) for the general public. Up to this point, the mode was only available to users with a Golden Ticket.

The introduction of the 5v5 mode brings several changes, the first of which being the map no longer being a single lane, but instead a three-lane setup like traditional MOBAs. Players will now have to come up with new strategic decisions for which lane to play and when to switch lanes to go on attack or defense. There is also now an expanded jungle section to deal with now. True fog of war has been implemented to add to a new layer of tactical requirements.

With the game itself going through a change with the implementation of 5v5, the competitive format will also follow suit. A new season of the Vainglory Premier League will commence sometime in June 2018, where teams can participate in both the 3v3 and 5v5 format, depending on their preference.
